Description: The 354th Fighter Group in WWII PART 1

A historical campaign for Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2

Update September 2014, corrected download URLs and some aircraft updates. Now a two part download due to file size.

By Kurt “Captain Kurt” Schwabauer

The 354th Fighter Group, "the Pioneer Mustang Group", was the highest scoring USAAF Fighter Group in WWII with 701 aerial credited kills. They flew a range of different ETO missions from heavy bomber escort to ground support to fighter sweeps. Beginning at Boxted in England the player will eventually move to bases in France and finally in Germany at the end of the war, flying 102 missions in all. Starting in December 1943 with the P-51B and transitioning to the P-51D, then the P-47D, the player will finally re-equip with P-51Ds before ending their war in May 1945.

Now posted, an update with new download addresses, some updated German 109's and 190's, updated scenery packages needed etc. Still with an auto installer but now in two parts because of the package size.

Kurt,

Many thanks on this! to avoid any confusion, I removed the older version from the library. Thanks for updating everything! :redfire:

Thank you - once again

Thank you for doing these wonderful campaigns. It is so wonderful to get everything served on a silver platter, but what a huge work it must have been. I have flown all your previous efforts more than once, and enjoyed all. Thanks again.

354th Fighter Group questions

When I click on 354FG 12-1-43 first mission the screen is all black
And hangs up. The CAMPAIGN stops running can anyone tell me?
What is wrong? :dizzy:

Also when I click on any plane in Free Flight I get this message.
Failed to initialize the data base

Not sure about this, but.......

Hi John;

I'm not sure.....it could be any number of things. It could possibly be your mdlnames.txt file. I've found that if I have duplicates in there I sometimes get the same message. I've also found that for just the pure pleasure of playing the campaign you don't need to add everything in there. If you're designing scenarios or reworking others, then everything should be there. I keep mine very basic and I have no problems anymore.

That works for me and I hope it helps you.

Cheers;

What I found out was the QC file was bad.
I down loaded a QC file off of the CD disk
and all is ok.
So thanks everyone for the inputs.:applause::applause::applause:

354fg campaign

In the plane c47_d-day I am missing the wep_paratrooper_1
Can anyone point me into the right direction for this file? :wavey:

They both are in the C7 Caribou cargo download, I think found on Simviation. Here it is and I also have the dp for the stock C47 with these "payloads" if you need it.
