Razbam a-7e fde

Expat, I could probably search and search to find it, but what squadron (of Zsolt's repaints) was featured with the Oriskany? NC

Thank you so much! NC

NC, attached a less bright version of the VC light FX which should further reduce bleed through/over exposure in external views:
If you still find it too bright, you can dim it further by decreasing the FX file particle X/Y scale:

[Particle.0]
Lifetime=0.00, 0.00
Type=19
X Scale=0.20, 0.20
Y Scale=0.20, 0.20

BTW: The original values were 0.35

Cheers Henk:encouragement: I tend to use instrument lighting rather than VC too but I'll add this to the model;)

Vibrating on ground, stopped and brakes (hand or toe) on...

So I tried the new FDE, and I noticed that when the brakes are on, and when viewed through the VC, the cockpit / plane is shuddering / vibrating ... anyone else find this?

I reverted to the old FDE, and checked on the Pack 2 and 3 A-7A, TA-/EA- models, and they didn't do this ... any ideas, Henk?

BTW - thanks for the light fix .... don't have shockwave, but at least the included (and fixed) light effect improved that little niggle ....

cheers,

dl

I did not see it till I tested different loadouts, it looks like the vibration starts sometimes upon a loadout change. First I thought it had something to do with exceeding a certain amount of gross weight but it appears randomly in my case, no clue why.

The shuttering/vibration has to do with the change in the contact points change. I have seen the same in many models where the contact points of the main gear were widened out to increase lateral ground stability.

Huh - thanks gents.

Well, if the reason for the change in contact points was to change the stance - with which I never had an issue in the first place, since it taxied fine for me, so long as I didn't make abrupt directional changes on a fast taxi (obvious) - and which, while not perfect, had enough of a "nose up" attitude close enough, esp when fueled correctly - then I'll just edit the contact point section back to how it was - will try that tonight.

Appreciate the feedback.

Regards,

Found something, I adjusted the MOI and the vibes were gone:

empty_weight_pitch_MOI = 44172
empty_weight_roll_MOI = 25000 ;154470
empty_weight_yaw_MOI = 65000 ;449986
empty_weight_coupled_MOI = 976

Henk, you're killing my vibe! ... and in this case, that's great! :very_drunk:

Can't wait to try. I will try tonight when I get home.

Many thanks in advance, though!

Glad you found this solution. I have had a few aircraft that have had this issue, or others have had problems with it. It does seem to vary with different systems. On occasion it can be so minute as to move a parked aircraft into a different direction after considerable time. It may be related to a harmonic interaction with the gear compression ratios.

Cheers. T

Which version(s) of the RAZBAM A-7 was the above meant for? :engel016:

Again BIG Kudos!

They also appreciate ;D :

If I were Kim Jong Un were just one day ...

... we'd have an annual medal ceremony just for all our wonderfully prolific repainters and FDE fixers.

From R to L:

Zsolt, Hschuit, Hae905, DaveQ, Bomber12th, Warchild, Jeansy, Jankees, Duckie, and Gradyhappy. That's not all-inclusive list - that's just as many as my camera lens would show. Wide-angle lenses are wanton symbols of imperialist capitalist aggression, plus they've not yet been discovered here.

wRGFo7w.jpg

Model builders, sound, and scenery gurus would each get their own medal day, (definitely bring your long-pant uniforms, Mr. Young, Mr. Stinstrom, Calclassic, and MAIW teams - just your tunics alone won't cut it that day ...)

who's with me?

:very_drunk:

so - yes - thanks!!!

I've never seen mil dudes adorned with so many "BUICK" hubcaps, even on their trou....? :adoration:
I can imagine the ordeal when dude sends his uniform out to be pressed for a pop inspection :adoration:
