Classic ship collection for FSX/P3D

Thank you very much for bringing these classic ships to FSX. :ernaehrung004: The Empress of Ireland looks beautiful! :encouragement: The real Empress had a very sad ending. :sorrow:

Brian

Thanks for the encouraging comments. Finally I managed also to get P3D installed and I was instantly impressed by the shadows - and of course the P3D waves adds to the fun of making ships even if the wakes are not optimal in P3D.

Not really a classic ship, and maybe the Captain should have stayed in Harbour, but the wave effect in P3D works

Happy New year to all on Sim-Outhouse! As a small New Years present several of the classic ships including the above shown Funchal but also the liberty ships Jerimiah O'Brien and John W Brown have today been released as part of the package 179 AI Ships and AI Ship Traffic available already on www.simviation.com and hopefully soon also on www.avsim.com and www.flightsim.com. However, the classic ship project will continue indepently and there are quite a few ships ready for an upcoming release.

:) This is one of the Liberty ships included in the package "179 AI Ships and AI Ship Traffic" - it is not yet activated on routes as I will only do that when I release the update of the US routes including new traffic for the bay of San Francisco, where the Jerimiah O'Brien can still be seen sailing today.

Are the Classic Ships going to be a stand alone package or mixed in with other packages? I'd much prefer them to be stand alone. One of my ideas for on down the line is to replace the modern default ships with classic ones...

Hi,
They are going to be stand alone ; it is a different epoque - and there will just be routes for a few areas. Some of the ships however will exist both in the modern packages and the classic, as they still sail as museum ships.
Best regards
Henrik

Esso Sao Paulo taking shape - she will be followed by an armed WWII version of the T2 tanker for P3D and FSX... If somebody wants FS9 please speak up.

The USS Saugatuck getting close to launch. The hull and superstructure should be fine and has been made according to good drawings, however I have serious problems finding decent and consistent pictures of the armament - position and types - that goes for the Saugatuck or any other of the T2 tankers. Mostly pictures are taking at different points in time and modifications seem to have been done regularly, so it is really hard to find any really usefull documentation. If someone can't point to good pictures it would be a great help.
