Carenado King Air

I recently acquired my first Carenado products, the C90B and B200 King Air HD series. They are both enjoyable to take up on a simple flight.

Although both have multiple documents on systems, avionics, etc., I noticed that they lack a simple description on animations. Each model has four exits listed in the aircraft.cfg, but I can only get one or two to work for each so I have no idea if there is something I'm overlooking. The B90B, for example, has an animation of the engine access panels whereas the B200 does not - I think. I can't seem to find any information on this.

Additionally, the B200 has four *.exe files located in the aircraft folder but no instructions as to what they do. By title they are related to the some of the avionics (BE900X, CAR530 and RXP530) but I have no idea as to their purpose.

Anybody have additional information on these two products??

I have the C90B, so I just casually glanced over the aircraft folder and found nothing in the way of "basic instructions". In the root FSX folder I found an "uninstaller" for the model and that's it. I have flown the model several times and have not been able to figure out a few of the features. But like you say... for a simple VFR from one FBO to another on a bright sunny day, the plane is a real joy. So I may contact Carenado about this, and if I get a response I'll certainly let you know.

Took my 2nd flight in the B200 this morning up to Bellingham. Very enjoyable. I fly with Fair Weather settings and for the first time in a long time the scenery matched the real weather here in the PNW.

Yes, I have Yago's tutorial. Haven't gone through it yet, so I'll make that a New Year's resolution. I've also verified that the taxi and landing lights do not illuminate the ground/runway, so I'll be adding some Shockwave lights just to improve the stock lighting.

As for the exterior animations, can someone just verify that there are only two for the C90 (exit door and engine access) and one for the B200 (exit door) - excluding the popup panel for chocks? Just so I know I'm not missing anything.

Try going to your FSX folder and opening the Carenado folder...e.g. C:\FSX\Carenado\C90B King Air

Did you know that you can open the .mdl file in Model Converter X and watch the animations? While it may not help you figure out how to control them it will at least verify their existence.

CAR530 modifies the plane to use Carenado's Garmin GNS530. RXP530 modifies the plane to use the Reality XP GNS530 model.
