I just finished watching a really great show on the life of Canadian RAF Flight Officer George "Buzz" Beurling.

An amazing multiple ACE on Malta with an amazing story. What a pilot. What a maverick. What an Ace.

Has anyone done his missions?

If not, I see an MTO series coming after I finish the PBF in 1945.

Lee,

There are a couple of missions involved his later exploits in Typhoons as part of the Royal Canadian Air Force, but otherwise, no. This one would be all yours.

P.S. - Check the staff forum..."permission request." :biggrin-new:

This will probably happen. I love flying Spitfires.

If you don't have it already, you could try out Rami's rework of the older Malta Spitfire campaign based on the historical 249 Squadron with which Beurling served during his time in the Med:

Old version:

Malta Spitfire! CFS2 Campaign (v1.0)

"This is a 15-mission mini-campaign centred around the experiences of a 249 squadron Spitfire pilot, based at Ta Kali during the summer of 1942. All of the missions are historically plausible, and are based on events which happened at the time. Requires the installation of several add-on planes and ground objects. By C Burgess for the Ground Crew. 3.7MB
