First of all I would like to thank the developers for a fantastic product!:applause:
It really is top notch. To run well on my mid-grade system most of my sliders are set at 3 or below(aircraft at 4). Even with these lower settings the scenery is astounding:jump:!! ,and the aircraft are flawless!

The claim form has me a little confused.:help: Who do I put in as the witness? Should I just use the pilot that has been assigned as my wingman? What if there is no one else around when i get a kill?:tgun2:

You can use any of the names of the squadron mates listed for the mission. I generally always use the wingmans name, and I write them down on a notepad so I don't forget it when it comes time to make a claim for a kill. If you think your wingmans name is a little too lengthy, you can use one of the others. Remember, these are they guys listed that you will be flying the mission and fighting with. One of them is bound to witness your kill.
If you are on a lonewolf mission and get a kill with no witnesses but are prompted to fill out a claim report, fill it out anyway and write down the incident in your log. I have shot down enemy planes withen view of the airfield on a lonewolf mission and entered my wingmans name anyway as I am sure he was standing by his plane and saw the whole thing. Some have been upset that they shot down an enemy plane and are not prompted to fill out a claim report. Sometimes your opponent makes an emergency landing and is not destroyed and will not be counted as a kill. In this case you can try to strafe him until his plane explodes, but I have usually found this a risky waste of ammo, especially if his squadron mates are still in the fight. Go for one of them. I hope this helps some of the kill claims questions. Some of the early "Reports from the Front" from the testers had some good survival information salted into the the mission accounts that might mean more as everyone starts getting into their own missions.

Claims yes, put in your wingmen or flight member, maybe just jot down one or two names in your flight before take off. Obviously it helps if you mention one who isn't lost on that flight ultimately but that's down to luck. A dead or captured witness is no good. Without a witness it is still possible to get a claim (ground forces may confirm for example) but it is less likely.

Makai's comments reflect on the reality of claims, and real losses in the Great War. Claims should be regarded as just that. Actual losses were often considerably different for a number of reasons: the confusion of many machines swirling about in a fight, clouds obscuring views, witnesses and claimants killed in the course of a fight, seemingly crippled machines actually making it home, pilots faking loss of control to escape a fight, machines lost far over the lines with no witnesses, multiple claims on one aircraft from different pilots engaged in a melee, political interference in confirming kills, and on and on and on. All of which tends to obscure the real raison d'etre of the air services in the Great War; serving the guns, and observation of enemy positions.

A quick side bar, how do I get the log book page to turn properly?

I click the "next" and the other buttons there, and then they go grey, but the log book page never actually turns.

Sure have been busy Pol. Im loving this! Really havin a blast. Anyway, I forgot my order number and like a dumbarse I deleted my emails from avantgate thinking, "oh, I wont be needing these anymore". Hopefully SirMike will see this and send his in.

Pilot 2 has no logged flights and no claims
Pilot 3 has 5 logged flights and 3 claims
Pilot 4 has 1 logged flight and no claims.

There are no second pages to any pilot yet.

I wish I could remember my order number, I know mine has about 12 or 15 flights. Is there any way I could send them without the number?

Hello,

Default the log is set to only log campaign flights - you can change this in the workshops.

You can send your files to support but give your name that you used on your order and support will tie the two up.

Try clicking on "View Claims" under your page. I just noticed the same thing once I had a pilot that lived long enough to have more than one page. The "next" function didn't advance the page, but when I click "View Claims" it scrolls to the next page and back again.

Just to clarify:

In P3 there are now two virtual books on the right hand side of the pilot dossier screen - one for logged flights and one for logged claims.

Each virtual book can have more than one page (Prev Next) once you log enough flights or have enough claims to spread onto successive pages.

The two books can be toggled by the view log or view claims button in the menu bar.

Default the log is set to only log campaign flights in workshops.

They may not be too helpful in that regard at the moment:
I ended up having to clear the book because I couldn't see the data on the most recent flight. I tried to get it to turn but I eventually gave up because I wanted to see the more recent stuff more than the older data.

I'll give Makai's approach a try when I get that far again.
