Flysimware Mitsubishi MU-2 - Final Screenshots

Or, rather than delay the release further, you can always update the textures in a service pack later, since "perfection is a moving target"...

I strongly suspect that the key to maximizing sales with this particular release is to get it out and have it available for as long as possible to take advantage of the "vacuum" before the "other" one is released.

Just a thought...Really looking forward to this one! (And hoping for a paint kit)

I have to humbly add my two cents to the comments. I have been following your development for some time now. You make great choices in terms of which plane to model, and your dedication to systems modelling is wonderful. You've won my respect for your commitment to accuracy and detail.

The only reason I have not (yet) purchased one of your products is down to the textures. If you can raise the texture game a bit, you will certainly have my money!

It's incredibly good of you to be so responsive to customer feedback! Wishing you all the best with this release.

Just spied the product pics on FB.......I like it, an exciting add on. Now if a few videos could make it up on YT to pass the time until release:jump:

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this one as well (wearing out the F5 key, as a matter of fact...)...it will be my first Flysimware purchase. I was aware of MU-2s, always thought it was a sharp looking airplane, but this release got me to digging deeper into the airplane, and I have to say what I've learned about it has just whetted my appetite for both this release, and the "other" one in development. Really cool airplane...and if you go to You Tube and search "MU-2 PROP", you'll see a series of neat 90 second to 2 minute profiles of MU-2 owners and their airplanes. REALLY cool.

Thanks for the input everyone. We like to keep our customers involved and informed in the development of our products.

We fully recognize that our textures simply don't compete with some of the better known companies right now. Flysimware is a very small team (two of us, to be exact) and as a result, we don't have the means by which to pay a talented texture artist what he's worth. If we could get someone to work for us on commission, that would be fantastic.

I was involved with the "other" MU-2 project as well. The developer went silent on me and I never heard back from a few emails, although they were very pleasant to work with. The "other" VC didn't turn out quite as I wanted it to, or as it was supposed to. The scale of the entire cockpit is off, which is evident if you look at the size of the primary flight instruments on the pilot's side of the panel, as well as the massive empty space on the far left side of the instrument panel. Still, I'm sure it will be a fantastic release. I only wish our textures were that good!

Our texture improvements will most likely be part of a service release, because yes, perfection is a RAPIDLY moving target.

Hi.

Mr. Zerilli is correct to a certain extent. He was involved with our Moo too. However he is absolutely not correct that we stopped mailing or responding to him. We did try contacting him several times but he never returned our emails.

As to our model being incorrect, that is patently absurd as we used exactly the same measurements as he gave us, plus we had full access to a Solitaire last summer.

Finally, we do wish him and his team the best with their Mu-2. Ours will be coming out in the new year and we hope it will be at least as good as his and his teams.

Thank you.

Kat.

Looking over at Flysimware's Facebook page, it looks like a continued release delay as they tweak textures, add reflective options, then take screenshots and re-post them, etc., etc.

Really looking forward to this one and hoped to be able to fly it this weekend-- doesn't look likely, however. :banghead:

It it is looking good, though...

Glad to see you are so eagerly awaiting our release!

Probably not this weekend, but DEFINITELY sometime during the week!

It may be well that you include what you have learned. texture wise into the 441. Especially external textures, they may get you some more sales. I think you have seeing for yourself how much nice looking textures are what people see first and can make or break a sale. I will get them because I enjoy Turboprops and a little realism. Waiting for release.

Sometimes these things take some time, set it up, sit back and take a look, tweak the obvious, take another look and wrap it all up. Textures are somewhat relative though, as a pretty plane that does not have any depth is just a pretty plane. These guys work hard at what they produce and the follow up customer service as well. The 441 stepped up a notch I believe, and this one (MU-2) is looking better. I'm also anxious for the release, but I understand the last minute hold ups to get it right. Card is warmed up and ready to go.

Our goal is to set a new trend. Release a product with as few bugs as possible, that is in need of as few service packs as possible. Sounds groovy.

It is live on Flysimware's site........as soon as it hits the stores, I will get it..unfortunate technical issue means I have to wait:icon_eek: but I am looking forward to it:applause:
