Aeroplane Heaven new Grumman F3F-2!

Hi Bazzar,

I finally got the update earlier this AM, thanks. Now last night I received an email from your outfit inviting me to download this update, it stated what some of the changes were.

Aeroplane Heaven Grumman F3F-2 UPDATE

A revised version is now available with several small bugs fixed and improvements added such as revised sound, gloss paint texture improvements and more.
The package includes a complimentary extra livery for a US Army Air Corps version.

Current owners will find the new upgrade well worthwhile downloading. New purchasers will receive the new version automatically when they download.

Now, I know there is a new livery and a new view from the cockpit, gloss paint improvements.. Other then that, can you please tell me what were the other improvements were?
Now sure if I hear what the sound improvements are. I did have to take out the whine.wav (again).

The following was posted by TUFUN and I wonder if it is still applicable:

If you still have a roar sound when engine is shut down, try this... "minimum_speed=15.00" or any speed setting you like. Also, I change to c4wind4.wav that was in the F3F sound folder.

Located in the F3F sound folder in the sound.cfg file.

// Wind Sounds __________________________________________________ ______________

[WIND_SOUND]
filename=c4wind4
flags=0
viewpoint=1
rparams=16.000000,0.660000,120.000000,0.910000
vparams=0.000000,0.000000,15.500000,7.200000,80.30 0003,14.800000,130.899994,20.400000,160.800003,30. 600000,190.699997,35.200001,210.199997,40.799999,2 40.000000,42.000000
minimum_speed=15.00

When I took out the whine.wav, there was no more roars or what ever sound when shutdown.
Thanks. :adoration:

Wires in view

I do notice that when in the take off view and looking aft, you can see where the wires are not attached to anything.

However, in spot view you can see that the wires are fastened to a pole atop the vertical stab.

In PC Aviator I see still 1.0v.

Its a optional view only for taxi, takeoff and landing (front view). VC view has a simplify external model always.

YoYo ... looking forward to that paint of yours being available. Where will you be uploading it?

Matt

Thx for your interest. It will be on Avsim and FlightSim but not uploaded yet. I think the skin is finished now, just Id like to test it with 1.1 v. of F3F-2. With new spec and alpha effects:

YoYo she looks absolutely fabulous man. Excellent work.:very_drunk:

We don't list all the mods because many are subtle and do not affect a buying decision for example. We just go over the model(s) and adjust what we missed or don't like and incorporate the best of any suggestions. Of course, as a commercial release, we are duty bound to update any glaring faults but really, at less than $20, the depth and number of upgrades must be controlled.

We must also be careful with our time. There are only so many hours in a day.:engel016:

I second bazzar's comment. Nice markings, and the shiny aluminum really looks great. That's pretty much the look I was trying to get on Paul Clawson's Northrop BT-1 a while back. Gonna have another go at it since seeing your work, I never got it right the first time around. :banghead:

Yeah but what about the right wire view where the antenna is not attached to the vert stab, is that an optional view also?
In other words, there is no intention to fix it, so unless you can, then delete those views. Am I correct in assuming that?

Why are you panning around behind you in a right wire view? As YoYo has already pointed out, this is a land-assist view, unless of course you are reversing onto the deck.

If you continue to pan around in the fixed camera views you will also find no landing gear, no tail wheel unit, no exterior canopy framing, no tail hook... my what were we thinking of....:biggrin-new:

True, but if you look out the right wing view, one notices the same deal with the wires hovering over the vert stab. Using your logic, I don't plan to land right wing first either :biggrin-new:
Guess I can just delete those views and it will then be a matter of no importance eh? I just thought that those wires would run true to life. Even in the views in question.
You've created a takeoff view which IMHO one would be sitting on a thick phone book with the seat fully raised. I just wanted to know why the wires in the views in question were not attached, that's all.....

Sorry mate but you are going to have to provide pictures.
In external mode you have Tail,Landing View, Front,Right wing, Left wing.

All of these are based on the external model with everything in place.

In Interior mode you have Virtual Cockpit, TakeOff Landing view, Right wires, Radios, Electrical Panels,Left Console,

So what are you looking at?:engel016:

can you put up a screenshot?

is it possible you have the view zoomed in or out - or are you using a different resolution in game from your monitors native res?

We're going to let the dust settle for a while. If there's enough demand we'll probably do something more in the fuel department, maybe external tanks too. It's all a matter of time and priorities. Nice pics mate.:engel016:

With update 1.1. Now is more polished aluminum effects... :wavey: . Pilot in "up" pisition:

btw. screenies not edited, just resized. Direct from FSX, Dx9.

Notice than old skins (F3F 1.0v) have a plastcard on the right side, near the tail in wrong place in 1.1v.
