He has a couple of more at AVSIM for two other airports. I will grab them all tonight. I do a lot of flying in that area. Nice find, Chief.

Chief - did you install this and did you have any problems? I installed it - it's beautiful. I am having a problem with flickering ground textures. When I am on the ground some small lines flicker. Once airborne, ramps, taxiways, parts of the runway all flicker. I am sure it has to do with elevations, but I am not sure how to correct it. Is anyone seeing the same thing? Thanks! I hope I can get it to work. It really is terrific stuff!!

Don

Don, I have not installed it yet. I did look at some of the other screenshots in the file, and they really looked nice! I will install and check it out this afternoon. Chief

I think it's a mesh conflict. I don't know what mesh the author used, but it may not like what I have (PILOT). I'm still keeping the scenery. It's fine on the ground.

Don

Yes a mesh conflict . I use FSGlobal Ultimate - just reinstalled after giving it a miss for a year because of too many airfield plateaus , somehow looks better in v2.5 .

I used Orbx ftxConfigerator to no avail . Went to try Pilot's AFM ( Aerodrome flattening Meshes) to find its not compatible with v2.5 .They say they are considering doing an update - I hope so !

Anyhow, these fields are not too bad and add more value, and are useful so they stay in the sim

That is good news. I tried the ORBX Cfg too, and nothing there. I kept them too. They work fine on the ground. I knew it was a mesh problem. I just wanted it confirmed. Thanks all! Grab his other two. They are just as nice.

I am wondering if in addition the author also has Aerosoft's Austria Pro scenery underlying it. I tried installing that and the flickering went away on my machine. It is quite old scenery now and since FTX Eu I haven't used it but like most things Aerosoft is still good quality stuff.

Hi Don,

I installed the scenery and did a preliminary test, no flickering, BUT I found "strange trenches"... After an "Auto-Configuration" session in ORBX Global Vector (I do it after every NEW scenery installation) ALL the buildings disappeared leaving only vehicles in the parkings !!!

We are getting different results with similar actions. I too ran the Auto Cfg and nothing changed. No trenches and the buildings all stayed. It is still usable though.
