Tweaking .air file to increase adverse yaw?

Mark,
I have to ask: are you using pedals or joystick twist for rudder? I think they 'act' differently as far as effect on roll, etc is concerned. With the pedals behaving more 'correctly'(?) on turns. But I don't have padals, so can't test, so I might be wrong. I am well familiar with the saying 'Step On The Bubble' for co-ordinated turns. But due to the model 'specs' in FltSim it might be harder to 'do' turns right (even with tweaks). I downloaded 'dhc6_400_x.zip' and will install it tonight and see what 'gives'. More later.

Paul, et al,

Correct me if I am wrong here since I have not messed with this in a while,

Cn_da should carry a small neg value and cn_p is used to tweak the adverse yaw, but the position of the vtail as stated in the aircraft.cfg is also important.

Example: htail_pos_vert = 2.500 The more positive this is, the stronger the roll associated with adverse yaw correction (I think).

What is the value for the aircraft in question?

I have the old “Version 1” Aerosoft DHC-6, and it appears to behave correctly as well, best I can tell anyway.

Thanks Paul, I have the old DHC-6 (Twin Otter X) too, never thought to try it out.

My WIP has a Cn_da of -50: Cn_p= 30, & Cl_r = 10.
Looking back at my Falcon these are -5, -30 & 0 respectively. These values only good for Table 1101, if your are using tables 1542, 1543 & 1544, thats a whole different kettle of fish, some different terminology and the tables use co-efficients.....
