AI Traffic program?

I love the MAIW mil stuff, but it's all Dx9. So I'm looking for something that works in P3D and is compatible.

I've read about My Traffic 6. Has anyone used it? Or suggest another option?

Thank you Hank. I'm grabbing the 1.5Gb installer now. Do I need other packages also? Or is this complete?

If you check out community/developer response to ICE AI/Sky AI (same thing with a new name) you will find that it's not really considered kosher. The authors have included numerous aircraft models without permission. Some call it "pirateware".

Ok, they distribute freeware models while not having the explicit Ok from the devs. But is not like they're making money off those models.

So, IMHO, is this illegal? Strictly speaking yes. Is this criminal? Nope.

If a freeware model is used in a larger pack, isn't that the biggest compliment possible that the dev could get? I think so.

IMHO (again) piracy is criminal when a product (freeware or payware) is being distributed by someone else who makes a profit out of it. This is manifestly not the case.

I hear ya JP!

I just wanted to point out that, IMHO, if people do not make money out of other people's work, it really isn't piracy. Call it sharing, whatever. But piracy is not applicable here.

Look at it this way: someone took the time and bother to package up something for others to use instead of having to collect and download tons of stuff. These people actually did a favour to people needing AI. That is not me btw.

Maybe they should have taken the time to credit the original devs more profusely.

As I suspected it's just a bunch of talking heads. Much ado about nothing.
If a dev makes some AI aircraft, though why I don't know, what does the dev expect the average JQP to do with it unless it's packaged with flight plans and what ever.
Maybe Sky AI went about it wrong and should have done it like kl179 with the AI ship traffic.
It seems someone has it out for the people involved.
So the people at Sky AI have put together something that is simple to use, adds enjoyment to the sim, uses only freeware AI aircraft and costs absolutely nothing? We need to shoot the SOBs.

I don't see why not, I expect it's a standard traffic.bgl, but you'd have to use something like AI Flight Planner to do so.

On the other subject, if my models were included, I'd like to have been asked first. Common decency really.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, it is the decent thing to do and that is what should be asked of the people involved with Sky AI, nothing more.
