police cars

One of the local PDs have chargers. I took my old car to the same garage they contract to service their cruisers and got to talking to the manager: highest maintenance vehicles he has seen in a long time.

And you oughta see all these "young punk" cops that grew up with FWD cars try to drive a RWD on ice and snow...
In the town that I work, one of the two Charger cruisers has been in the body shop twice this winter already to get the wrinkles ironed out! :d
There's just something about speed-rated low profile tires and slippery roads that doesn't mix well...
At least the victims didn't have to wait long for the cops to arrive though! :173go1:

my town has chargers and the dodge suv...durango? two of them...not sure why they need them...but they look cool...

There's a Highway Patrol Corvette (C5?...it's an older model) that I see around here every once in a while.

I learned in an old 92 Chev Caprice, drove the Crown Vic's but I gotta say I do love the look of the Charger, I always thought the new Chevy Impala's were to small, but they still look good.

Oh Geez.. They remind me of the Geo Metro! I drove a Geo as a security vehicle back in the early 90's, it was hilarious looking!

Wow, now that's a cruiser! I notice that that Carbon Motors cruiser advertises that it is PIT capable. Wonder how those cute little things would handle it? :d

We have a couple Chargers out here in Escondido, CA. They also have (had?) a Camero.
Also a little VW Bug to drive to the schools for the DARE program. And then a million sedans.
One on every corner it seems at times.
:ernae:

New Lenox has a Vette kindly donated by a bad guy dealing in stuff he shouldn't be but I like Plainfield's (Illinois) Viper better.

Dan,
I have to say the New Lenox and Plainfield police departments did some nice looking paint jobs on them two vehicles.
Anyways here's the MA State Police Vette which if I remember correctly was also "kindly donated" by a bad guy.
