Classic ship collection for FSX/P3D

Some manage to hang on.. 'almost' unnoticed. There's a shot here: http://shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=842630 of Rame Head going for disposal in 2009. Her life at sea had long ended though she was present 'down the trot' in Portsmouth for as long as I can remember.. used for years as a training aid for the SAS/SBS (as far as I know). There was some talk of trying to keep her due to her origins and history but that's all it amounted to. There are certainly very few Victory/Liberty ships in existence these days and now, they're one fewer.

Love these classic ships. Wear and rust looks so real I want get my tetanus shot before installing these!

Thanks for adding these retro ships Henrik!

Thanks for the links. Especially the navsource was usefull :jump: A couple of hours and there are now three versions - still with the same texture and thus number, but they actually represent three different ships with respect to armament and other details.

Yes - they are done as AI and the detail level is kept for AI use - even so many of my ships have been transformed by others to pilotable versions.

would it be possible to make a convoy mdl, in which i mean have several liberty ships spaced in a convoy formation and be saved as only one mdl file, like someone did with the red arrows back in fs2004/2002

be great so see a convoy sail from west coast US to UK....

Hi
I will do a convoy formation but not based on one mdl, which would give a strange turning behaviour - instead it will be done with routes made in Google Earth for FSX and P3D. I still miss one model - the Victory type - before it get so far that I start testing that.
Best regards
Henrik

Hey Dave,
Looks like the tanker you were working on can go into storage. This T2 tanker should fit in nicely with the project we talked about. :encouragement:
Although it's not the same class, (Cimarron-class oiler) it's close enough with a hull number change. Really looking forward to this.
