Sim Skunk works F-104 G

Would it not be within the bounds of possibility for SSW to add another cab on thwith t front and make those small changes elsewhere to turn it into a C?? I'd be in line to bag a copy:encouragement:

Hi Dave!! C model had also an engine with LESS thrust as respect with the late G/S variants so also the flight model should be
adjusted by SSW to correctly replicate the real bird.:very_drunk::very_drunk:

That's possible to do:encouragement:

hahahaha:biggrin-new:

I don't think I've stalled yet though I did run out of gas on a long run from Culdrose to Gib. I presumed (deary me) that fuel transfer from the tip tanks would be automatic.. I should have known better with this old girl. As a result.. there's an airframe sat in a field somewhere in Spain:banghead: I know better now of course. Oh to run out of gas when you've still got plenty left:dizzy:

Yes, I'm aware that the repaint would be inaccurate....... but it wouldn't be that much different that what has been done with other aircraft models (the "J" version of the Milviz F-4E comes to mind).
I'm just looking for something that is as close to what I want as I can find. If I can find SEA era camo for it, I would be satisfied with that. If SSW added the removable refueling probe, I would be even happier.

If they produced a C version with Tacpack capability I would not be able to contain myself!

F104 used in Vietnam were C variant, all with in flight refuelling fixed probe and with the part above the jet nozzle shaped differently from G / S models. So , a paint of SSW Zipper in the SEA camouflage would be not actual.

After starting the gun starts firing and only stops in flight. I must be doing something wrong?

:dizzy::dizzy:

Just seen this (been away...). Here's one I did for my own amusement. If anyone's interested I'll check it over and post.

Wow! Stunning work. Is this a SEA scheme or some European/US one? I really like the contrast to the shiny US one's.

Not a real scheme, US or otherwise, just a fictional one I did a while back for my own amusement as I said. I need to check it out before posting after I've phinished the RN Milviz Phantom.

Meanwhile I'll try to get this old chestnut uploaded this week....
