just to make things clear. if one talks about good "german" beer, one means only southern german beer, especially bavarian. prussian beer or northern beer has nothing to do with bavarian beer and is something completely different. but for some reason non-german people consider it as "german" beer.

Cheers to widowmaker! I'm a Yank but I was priveleged to spend some time in Wales with some good English friends some time ago. You're post brought back memorys of their great sense of humor. I remember playing golf one day with the Welshman and I picked up my ball for one reason or other. My host said in England we never handle our balls when playing. Incidently the sand traps (hazards) were old bomb craters.

Its amazing how a "silly" game can affect one's sensiblities. I can tell you'e serious. On the other hand it says there's something special about this new Sim. I've only had P3 for a few days but I sense something special.
The historical features in P3 alone are worth more than $50.
 
Ha Ha Ha.......How many times already have I shutdown OFF to show it who is really boss, swearing no more for the night......only to start a new pilot in about ten minutes.

Old Navy, the golf story reminds me of something I saw on the Johnny Carson show years ago. He was interviewing the wife of Jack Nicklaus or Arnold Palmer (can't remember which), and he asked if they had any rituals or superstitions before he played in a golf tournament:

Wife: "Oh yes. Every night before the start of a tournament, I always make sure to kiss his balls."

Carson: (after an appropriate pause). "I bet THAT really makes his putter stand up!" :faint:

I know that look well. Mine's been giving it to me since I got Fallout 3 for Christmas. Even worse, she keeps doing the casual wandering in to the study and sitting around at her PC doing nothing in particular routine, which I know is Missus speak for "I really wish we could spend some quality time together instead of you playing on the computer all night".

Luckily, I haven't let on that I know what it means.

I hate to think what's she's going to be like once I've got OFF installed.
 
My other half, when she has that particular mood on (you know the one) will scooch over from her PC and sit behind me mime-copying my every movement and leaning left and right to conteract the G.

That is bloody disconcerting and guaranteed to stop me playing!

Dej, give the girl a gun and explain the role of an observer to her. She can help on your flight report-kill claims.
 
The Missus, being an old fashioned southern girl, has no problem whatsoever letting me know what she wants. Usually it's something like, "Hey, get off that damn computer and come on over here big boy!" I've got to admit, the computer loses every time!

WHAT! Encourage her to be a backseat driver? Mind you, she's viciously accurate with a shopping trolley in the supermarket (deserves a VC for Morrisons) so I'll give it a go.

Don't do that! The lady might put a little carpet into the cockpit, hang some pictures at the "walls" of the crate, frame the "Walfisch's" windows with curtains, and constantly complain about the cold up there, and your flying style.
