OT - Radials + Jet engine

OK, I need community brain power and knowledge. Does anyone know of a case where a jet engine was added to an prop engine aircraft in FSX? And if so, how was it achieved?
 
Unfortunately FSX does not support mixed propulsion units by default.

There have been a couple of exceptions that I can think of but they required custom gauge coding in order to get them to work.
 
The Fairchild C-123k would be such a candidate. The jets in the original were just on and off (no throttle adjustments), so maybe the implementation on that aircraft would be fairly easy.

But I don't know any aircraft in the sim where this would have been done.

And the B-36. But as TK mentioned, you would need a gauge to do so. I would probably use the FSX FDE for the prop and then make a gauge for the jet propulsion. Especially if you can find an engine deck for the specific jet engine you're using, as it would be more accurate than the FSX jet model.

Also, I think someone should make a NA Savage, just to test it out. ;)
 
Two types I would like to see revisited even only enhance the VCs is both the Neptune and the B-36, as pointed out the limitations with FSX, similar example is the 8 engines off the B-52 , so Captain Sim simply coupled two into one, it would be nice to see this combination.
 
Many thanks to you guys for your suggestions. There is one other aircraft I can think of that had mixed power but I can say no more. I know there are a lot of NAVAIR fans here so this might make some people happy. I will investigate the aircraft mentioned and see if I can figure out how the jet engines were implemented. Thanks again.
 
The Martin P4M Mercator by David Wooster is a favourite of mine. The mixed power system works well for me. From the FlightSim description "Aircraft can fly with all four engines, jet engines only, or piston engines only. Any of the engines can be started or shut down separately as desired using the 2D pedestal "

+1 on revisiting the B-36. The exterior is great but the VC could use a complete makeover.
