There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

edit: At second thoughts, I suppose it make sense as the Skysim model is now pretty much unobtainable. Not for me though.
Let's just hope it's nothing like their Tornado... that thing is a disaster.
Just one question. Why?
Good to know the performance issue has been addressed. You're right, calling it a "disaster" was probably a bit much, so I apologize, it's just incredibly disappointing when an add-on launches with such performance issues, something that surely must have been noticed during internal testing? Not sure I'd agree, but then I am of course biasedThe performance issue and any other reported issues will be addressed by a service pack that is due to be released next week (I am getting 45-50 fps in the VC with an i7, 8GB RAM). We've also improved and added functionality with information provided by an ex-Tornado engineer. The performance issue was caused by a previously unknown (by us and other devs) limitation in the model compilation process, a downside of producing an incredibly complex model for a decade old sim which no longer has support from the manufacturer. Future products will not suffer from the same issue.

What about a Hawk T2, though?
Dave
Already in development at IRIS, didn't want to let the cat out of the bag this early in development, however we're doing the Mk127 used by the RAAF. Happy to see JF do a T2 if they're interested, but I'd say their efforts are being focused on the T.1![]()
