IL-96 for FSX?

What's the best Il-96-300 for FSX? I know of one but the VC is kinda rough an lacks a lot of functionality. You guys know where to find a good quality one?

I actually have the 86, but it's range is non existant, and it seems to have a nearly insatiable thirst for runway....
The Il-96 is a massive improvement

I got my Il-86 from http://www.rikoooo.com/en/downloads/viewdownload/51/788 (are we allowed to mention them?) I think it is tweaked from the original and although still an absolute pig to take off, is quite a nice model. A port over of course so there are issues. I had to adjust the smoke as it was still in FS2004 format.
Who knows if it is possible to adjust the vapour coming off the wings as that too is not quite right. Nice model if flown with kid gloves.

Go to the site and in the left hand corner at top select "main page" second entry down is a link for IL-96 complete package. Contains three aircraft :

Il-96-300
Il-96-400
Il-96M

All are complete with latest updates, and there are some repaints I think at "AVSIMSU". Been a long time since I flew them, but as I recall they were quite acceptable models.

Did you have problems with the engine information screens not showing up when you used them?

The Russian site seems to link back to the aircraft that SeanTK linked to at the beginning.

I have no idea what Rikoo has on that site and I'm not going to spend either money or
time finding out when there is an FSX native aircraft (probably the same one) at Avsim.su
which can be downloaded in a few moments.
The aircraft is not finished, as SeanTK did say, it lacks some systems.

@RyanJZ, To answer your question in the other thread, if you open an FSX native model file
with an xml editor, the first line contains the text MDLXMDLH, which one at Avsim.su does.
If the model is Fs9, the same text reads MDL8MDLH
This is the definitive way to tell the difference.

Almost always but not by definition, an FSX native aircraft will have two .mdl files in its model folder,
one interior and one exterior.

In DX10 the glass is white and opaque. Not sure which file would need adjusting if at all possible. There isn't an obvious "glass" file. Who has a clue? I'm using the FSX model. :dizzy:
