Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

A big tip of the hat toTim"piglet" Conrad...

This look anything like it might end up looking like a 'USCG HITRON' ?

Do you have a specific photo version in mind?

This latest one is an Indonesian one - Squadron 21 - Abdulrachman Saleh AFB Malang, East Java - Indonesia 2013 [as far as I'm aware]...;)

I think you have painted the delivery scheme, how it looked during the transit flight to indonesia, and not the actual in service scheme (civilin registration and overpainted Indonesian AF serials).

Are all these beautifull textures available somewhere ??

I am dreaming to fly with some of them.

Congratulations

Gérard

Dang it...yer right.
I'll find some pics of them after delivery instead of during...;)

Edit .... seems there's precious few pics after delivery with the correct markings....shall have to delve deeper.

Gerard....
Not yet .... have a few more to do before I get to uploading...;)

I'm always going to have a soft spot for Brazil paints ....as an FIA F1 Official for 31 years...my fave driver was Nelson Piquet, and I have the claim-to-fame of single-handedly push-starting Senna at pit exit in Adelaide...;)

Edit...
A VERY early one....mapped the photo to the model for basic layout....tail is repainted already. Always good to start with the hardest bits.

Yes.... Brazil has only two sides this days: You love it or you hate it. Glad you´re in the like side. By the way, Piquet (The father) IS the driver from Brazil.

Great F1 days.

There's a whole bunch of talent there ....though Nigel was the only person who could make F1 sound boring when interviewed...;)

Got autographs from 3 of those 4. Sadly I thought Ayrton would be round a few years longer so didn't take the chance when I had it.

It's coming along...
Have the fuse mostly done.. need to start on the wings...;)

Edit....getting closer....it sure is fiddly...

Quite impressive how fast you are coming up with the new S-T schemes! Even with a paint kit it is still a lot of work to get the smaller details right :)

For the Indonesian S-T I think you can use the profile posted above as a good source on what are painted bellow the quite tape as seen on the delivery flight scheme.

The "Esquadrilha" seems to be a dificult one endeed. Nice work!

I think it's safe to say it's the hardest Tucano there is.
The underside stripes towards the front are an intersection of about 6 different pieces....not all the same scale...;)

But I'm getting there...

Edit....yes, this is THE WORST. The last couple of pixels at the bottom of the fuse sides are stretched dramatically...just where the hellow stripes get to the nose-wheel door.
I'm going to have to grid-pattern the intersection and recolour per-pixel ....yep, one at a time....

....or I can pretend the ground crew were really slack and there was a huge hydraulic leak....

An Libanese air force just bought 6 fresh new a29´s.

Obs: The "esquadrilha" paint is fantastic the way it is now!

I've finished with this one...law of diminishing returns. Added a bit of dirt to help mask those last 4 pixel rows.

I need to paint the tanks and helmets too, I guess...;)

Same quirk is going to be frustrating when I do a Thunderbirds what-if paint ....unless I can cunningly avoid those pixels....;)

Edit ....helmets and tanks...
