• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

AnKor shaders or ENB?

Which shaders should I use, AnKor's or the ENB series? What are the differences?

In the absence of other comments, my tuppence worth is that AnKor's shaders are the way to go. They are designed specifically for the cfs3 engine. Start reading the relevant threads and find your way to the latest version, to save repeated installs. IIRC the latest version was around March this year?

Choosing between the two, definitely Ankor's shaders. The other is just some post processing of the existing shaders to change the look, Ankor's actually adds new features like reflective water, self-shadowing models and scenery and working reflector gunsights.

Edit: it may be possible to use both at once. I know some have used Ankor's shaders and sweetFX which is similar to ENB. Personally I only have Ankor's installed.
