A2A Aerostar 600 Video

Hi all!

I was pleasantly surprised to find in my YouTube subscription feed this morning a quick video from the A2A Simulations channel about their real-life Aerostar 600 twin-engined aircraft. :santahat:

Usually something like this signals that A2A will develop another wonderful aircraft addon based on the actual aircraft that they own. This is just speculation on my part, but I'm sure many of you who follow A2A's work will agree. Personally, I'm very excited for a twin-engined Accu-Sim offering.

Up until now, I personally do not know much about the Aerostar 600. To whet the appetite, here are a couple of photos of Aerostar 600s (not the A2A one; just some I found from the internet):

IMHO...I've felt for a long time that this was a long overdue aircraft and have been hoping that one of the top developers would step up.

Agreed...Accusim model would be outstanding.

I handled & refueled a few of them way back in the day. They carried the nickname "Deathstar" due to the very high fatal accident rate. They are very fast for a piston twin but obviously that performance comes with a price and a few quirks. The most recent accident I heard about was the fatal crash of an Aerostar back in 2012 which took the life of a decorated 91 Gulf War F/A-18C Pilot (who was a well rounded and highly experienced aviator).

They had initially told me (or a few of us) in a thread that it wouldn't be happening. I can't find the thread.

But I would buy this the instant it came out. The Aerostar is one of my favorite planes! FSD did one back in the day if I recall!

I've been wanting one of these for a long time for FSX. Hopefully someone will get around to it soon.
