28+52', German Airforce 1990 transition scheme.
This is how the former GDR/East German Airforce's L-39ZO '220' came along in October 1990, just after the GDR and its Airforce (named "LSK" = "Luftstreitkraefte") passed away. Some L-39 were taken over by the German Airforce, some (such as this one) later were given to the Hungarian Airforce. The depicted Albatros still wears its LSK paint (note the overpainted insignia) and already the new West-German tactical registration 28+52 with the "iron cross" insignia between the numbers still missing.
This repaint was done utilizing the paint kit provided by Vit Storch and with further assistance by SteveB.
