This repaint depicts an Albatros D.III which belonged to Jasta 2 (Jasta Boelcke), early November 1917. The plane was flown by 2nd Lt. Fromherz and probably by Werner Voss. The aircraft was known as "Die Blaue Maus" (The blue mouse). As far as I know there are no pictures which show upper surface from the wings. The repaint has blue wings like shown in most profiles from this aircraft, but alternative wing textures with the "standard" three colour camouflage scheme are included as well. I want to thank Stuart Green for his incredible Albatros D.III model. The guys in the FS2004 forums at the Sim-Outhouse for their support and especially Randy "Baron von Blutwurst" Foss for sharing his information about the colours. A special thanks to Blowhart from Simmer's Paintshop for his excellent tutorials and Martin Wright for his great graphic tools without which no repaint would have been possible.
