A repaint of the superb payware Alphasim He111 package. It is painted as a CASA 2.111B from 27 Ala de Bombardero Ligero - Ej?rcito del Aire, late 1959. The C2.111 was derived from the He 111 and produced in Spain under license by Construcciones Aeron?uticas SA. The 2.111 differed from Heinkel's original design, featuring heavier armament and eventually Rolls Royce Merlin engines. Spanish C.2.111s served into the early 1970s, rather strange for a design which already by the late 1930s was nearing obsolescence as a combat aircraft.
