A repaint of the superb payware Alphasim He111 package. It is painted as a CASA 2.111B from Esc.462 (based at Gando AB) painted in ?Luftwaffe? camouflage for the filming of the "Battle of Britain" film during the late 1960's. The aircraft kept the camouflage for the rest of it's service in EdA. The C2.111 was derived from the He 111 and produced in Spain under license by Construcciones Aeron?uticas SA. The 2.111 differed from Heinkel's original design, featuring heavier armament and eventually Rolls Royce Merlin engines. Spanish C.2.111s served into the early 1970s, rather strange for a design which already by the late 1930s was nearing obsolescence as a combat aircraft.
