The Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana (RSI Air Force) received from Luftwaffe many G-6 since May '44 and the 2nd Grp.Caccia was the first unit equipped with them. Liveries for two different aircraft: the first belonged to 3rd Squadriglia of the 2nd Grp. Caccia ('Gamba di Ferro'/'Iron Leg'), was based, during July 1944, on Villafranca's airport (Verona/Italy); the second one belonged to 1st Squadriglia of 2nd Grp. Caccia ('Gigi Tre Osei', Ltn.Amedeo Fagiano), based on Aviano's airport (Italy) during November 1944.
