Boeing B-29A 42-24579. "Eddie Allen," a Superfortress of the 45th BS, 40th Bg. Eddie Allen was the chief test pilot at Boeing and was killed in the crash of the second B-29 prototype. 42-24579 was called Eddie Allen in his honour, and this plane bombed targets in seven countries until finally salvaged in May 1945 due to battle damage.
