Photo-Real' textures of the TransGlobal/BlueSteel Simulations Bristol 188. Compiled using images of her outside at Cosford a few years ago. The 188 programs primary goal was research into long duration supersonic flight at speeds in excess of Mach 2 to provide data for the Avro 730 Program. Ultimate abandonment of the Avro 730 and the failure of the 188 to perform within its projected flight envelope for long enough made it one of the most costly research aircraft of all time, each of the two air frames having to be cannibalised to keep the other flying. Nevertheless both of these aircraft provided useful data for the Concorde program during the late 1960's. Textures ONLY
