This is a repaint for the ex-payware IRIS Curtiss P40E, which is part of the IRIS Classic P-40 package, which can be found on all major flightsim site, including our own library at the SOH (file IRIS Classics P-40.zip, uploaded by Matt Wynn in June 2010).
This repaint shows the The Kittyhawk Mk. III EV421, from No.2 Sq. SAAF, flown Maj D.B. Hauptfleisch, spring 1942. It is unclear whether it was actually a Mk. IA with a modified tail, or a genuine Mk. III. As there is a picture from the EV421 with the early Mk. IA tail, without fillet.
I recommend to use the "de-shined" model file by Wild Bill Kelso, which is available in the library here as well. This repaint is based on the better than excellent paint kit by Steve "Duckie" Bryant.
Thanks to IRIS for their nice model, to Wild Bill Kelso for the de-shined model files, Duckie for his excellent paint kit and of course Martin Wright for his excellent graphic tools.
To use this repaint you should have the now freeware IRIS Curtiss P-40E installed.
That should be all,
Enjoy,
