This repaint with extra supplementary texture detailing is for the ?SECTIONF8? North American F-86E/F Saber (sf86ef.zip). F-86F-30, S/N 52-4584, C/N 191-682 was built by North American Aviation in Inglewood, California and delivered to the USAF in December 1952. It is a representation of the airplane assigned to the 25th FIS/51st FIW and flown by Maj. John H. Glenn, Jr., USMC while TDY as an exchange pilot with the USAF during the Korean War. Major Glenn's Sabre was unusual because the art work on the side of the fuselage refered not only to himself, but also to his family, by the addition of the label, "Lyn - Annie - Dave I" forward of the primary art. Like many combat aircraft, the art appeared only on the left side. Textures by Cliff Presley "thudpilot."
