The second Fairchild Model 91 was purchased by Dr. Richard Archbold for the American Museum of Natural History. For good luck he requested that it be serialed as 9407 and registered it as NR777, and it was named "Kono," the Papuan word for duck. In 1936 he flew it to New Guinea where, despite all the "lucky 7s" it was damaged in a storm soon after arrival and was destroyed during recovery operations. These textures are for the latest version of Chris Herring's Fairchild 91 with VC and animated flaps; they will not work with earlier versions because of texture mapping differences. Repaint by Chris Herring & Mick Morrissey.
