A skin for A.F. Scrub's TBM-3U
Avenger depicting a plane transferred to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service in the 1950s. The apparent lack of borate bomber modifications, and the fact that he plane was owned by the Forest Service rather than a civil contractor, suggest that "Gila" was a Fire Boss's plane, used for airborne control of fire fighting operations rather than direct attack.
