c/n 202. Registered on 18 May 1939. Leased for a short period in July 1939 to Canadian Airways, then put into storage. On 1 August 1942 leased to Canadian Pacific Airlines and used to supply weather stations in northern Quebec. Delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force in April 1943 for special tests and paratroop training as 799. By 27 October 1943 the RCAF had converted 799 to an air ambulance with floats. After tests she was converted back to wheels. On 14 June 1944 sold to Labrador Mining and Explorations as CF-BXP and converted back to floats. Crashed on takeoff at Sandgrit Lake, Labrador and abandoned on 23 June 1944. In August 1964 BXP was donated to the National Aviation Museum and transported to Ottawa. |
