Hurricane Mk I standalone flyable repaint - H33 of the Belgian Air Force
Installation of the Hurricane Mk I Paddy III with fix is required.
Original model by Patrick Didier, modified for MAW by Richard -Winjeel- Mason. Virtual cockpit model by Mathias Pommerian, modified for fixed-pitch airscrew by Clive "Pat Pattle" Morley.
History:
H-33 was destroyed in a belly landing at Durbuy/Palenge after being hit by a gunner of an intercepted Dornier Do17 on 12 Mar 1940.
On March 12, a patrol made contact with a Dornier 17 over the Ardennes. After a brief exchange of gunfire, the German aircraft plunged into the clouds, and Lieutenant Van Strydonck, whose aircraft had been hit in the engine, made a forced landing.
After Belgium was overwhelmed by the Germans, several Hurricane pilots subsequently reached Great Britain and several of them participated in the Battle of Britain.
