This folder contains a repaint for the Shockwave World War II Fighters P-51D Mustang, representing a J-26 Mustang of the Royal Swedish Air Force. A/C 26061 was previously 44-72364 SX-L "Upopa Epops" of the USAAF, and flew with with 3rd squadron of the F4 wing, based in Uppsala. In 1952, she was sold to the Dominican Republic were she flew with registration 1916. In the '80s, she came back to the US. Paul Allen, of Microsoft fame, purchased the aircraft in 1999, adding it to his growing museum, the Flying Heritage Collection. After a thorough restoration, the original "Upupa Epops" markings were applied. Currently the aircraft can be seen at its newest home, with the Flying Heritage Collection, at Paine Field, near Seattle. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by John Terrell.
