This is a repaint only for the WOP P-51D and WWII Fighters P-51D. This aircraft, owned by Michael Potter and registered CF-VPM, is part of Potter's growing collection of Canadian warbirds known as Vintage Wings of Canada. This aircraft first served with the RCAF beginning in 1947, as 9575. In 1960 it was sold surplus and passed through several owners until it was purchased by Bob Baker in 1997. Under the hands of Baker, the aircraft was fully restored to pristine condition and painted as "Oklahoma Miss". It won the Best P-51 Award at EAA Oshkosh, 2001. The aircraft was purchased by Michael Potter in 2005 and in 2006 it was repainted in very smart, RCAF 442 Sqn. colors. RCAF 442 Sqn. is best known for flying the last Allied ETO fighter mission of WWII, the day after VE day. This repaint not only features the exterior but the interior as well, matching the real example.
