These are two re-paints for David C. Copley's P-38L-5 v2.4. These are re-releases to make the paints compatible with David's most recent P-38L update release. "Joltin Josie" represents the P-38L owned and operated by the Chino Planes of Fame Air Museum. The aircraft was acquired by the museum in 1998, and has since been repainted a few times. "Putt Putt Maru" represents the P-38L flown by Colonel Charles H. MacDonald, Commanding Officer of the 475th Fighter Group, 5th Air Force. The aircraft represents Col. MacDonald?s aircraft as it looked in December 1944, while based at Tacloban airfield in the Philippines. At this time, Col. MacDonald had 24 kills.
