Here's another repaint of the IRIS freeware P-40 for FS2004. This one represents "JINX", a P-40K flown by the 25th Fighter Squadron, 51st Fighter Group out of Assam Valley, India in 1944. The P-40-K was essentially an E model with a more powerful Allison-Merlin engine and an automatic boost control. Early K models like "JINX" had the E model tail, but later marks added a dorsal fin extension to counter the torque of the more powerful Allison-Merlin engine.
As with many P-40s serving in India, the plane used RAF paints, Extra Dark Sea Grey uppers and Medium Sea Grey undersides with an Azure Blue spinner. An unusual paint for a P-40, almost looks Navy.
