Capt. Lonnie M Davis of the 350th Fighter Squadron was the second pilot to fly the P-47D 42-76141 LH-Q "Arkansas Traveller". The first was Capt. Dewey E Newhart who flew it as LH-D "Mud'n Mules", but was killed flying another aircraft on 12 june 1944. The mule was part of Capt. Newhart's noseart that was retained after the aircraft was reassigned to Capt. Davis. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Fighters P-47D by Jan Kees Blom.
