P-51D 359th FG/369th FS IV-I "Louisiana Heatwave".zip 2024-06-16

P-51D 44-13606 IV-I "Louisiana Heatwave" was the aircraft Lt Claude J Crenshaw of the 369th FS used to shoot down 3 Bf109's on the 11th and 18th september 1944. He used his next P-51D, simply named "Heatwave", to shoot down an additional 4 FW-190's with a 5th FW-190 as a probable. Lt. Crenshaw retired a Lt.Colonel in 1965.
