'Kwitcherbitchin' was flown by Captains William B. Lawrence Jr and Allan J. Kinvig of the 457th FS, 506th FG, from Airfield No.3, Iwo Jima. The name of this aircraft may have derived from the fact that its pilots were flight commanders who heard more than their fair share of complaining from the pilots they led. The victory flag was Captain Lawrence's for the aircraft he shot down on the nagoya raid of 16 July 1945. Repaint of the Shockwave WWII Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by John Terrell.
