P-51D-20 44-72620 #640 was assigned to Captain Zagorsky and Lt Seale of the 462ndFS/506th FG on Iwo Jima. "The Shawnee Princess" was Capt. Zagorsky's name for the aircraft, while Lt. Seale settled on "Empire Commuter". It went down after a mission to Chichi Jima, with the pilot, Ed Seale, being rescued.
