P-51D 44-14651 L2-V "Pin Up Girl" was first flown by Lt. Berkeley E. Hollister, 434th Fighter Squadron, 479th Fighter Group, with only the letters on the nose. It was later reassigned to Lt. John C. Donnell Jr., who applied the image to the plane. Unfortunately, he was killed in action on 14th february 1945. I have painted this aircraft earlier, but this time it is based on the excellent paintkit by John Terrell.
