P-51D-20 44-72547 #600 was assigned to two pilots that knew each other well, having flown combat together in P-39's with the 80th FS/8th FG in New Guinea. Major Thomas D DeJarnette shot down a 'Tony' on 10 june 1945, and Lt.Col. Harley Brown damaged a 'Frank' on 19 july. "Tallahassee Lassie", like most 462nd FS Mustangs displays the squadron insignia, designed by pilot Bob Torgerson. Repaint of the Shockwave WWII Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on paintkit by John Terrell.
