P-51D 531stFS Iwo Jima "My Achin!" (3147) Flight Simulator 2004 (Re-Paint)

P-51D 44-673623 was assigned to Major Harry C.Crim of the 531st FS/21stFG. Maj. Crim had completed a combat tour flying P-38's in the MTO, but did not score any victories there. He joined the 72nd in august 1944 and transferred as CO to the 531st after his predecessor was wounded in the banzai raid of 26 march. He quickly made a name as an aggressive combat leader and went on to score to six confirmed victories. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on paintkit by John Terrell.
