This is a repaint only for the
WOP P-51D and WWII Fighters P-51D. This aircraft was purchased in 1983 by the then Weeks Air Museum (now Fantasy of Flight). Following damage from Hurricane Andrew the aircraft was fully restored by Cal-Pacific Airmotive and first flew again in 1999. That year the aircraft won a Grand Champion award at the EAA Oshkosh Convention. The original "Cripes A' Mighty 3rd" was flown by lead Mustang ace Major George Preddy of the 352nd FG in 1944.
