This is a repaint only for the WOP P-51D and WWII Fighters P-51D. This aircraft was delivered in 1944 and saw duty amongst a variety of US training units as well as a possibility it saw service with the 357th FG. The aircraft then went on to serve with the RCAF as 9568 and was sold surplus in 1960. By 1974 the aircraft was restored and became race #7 "Candyman". By 1980 the aircraft was ferried over to Switzerland and became "Moose" in 1981. In 1991 the aircraft was obtained by The Fighter Collection, Duxford and in 2002 was painted as "Ferocious Frankie", a P-51D which originally belonged to the 374th Fighter Squadron, piloted by Mustang Ace, Lt. Col. Wallace E Hopkins.
