This is a photoreal repaint for Warwick Carter's P-51D Mustang Ver. 2. "Grim Reaper" N26PW, owned by Sal Rubino Jr., was first delivered to the USAAF on Nov. 11, 1944, serving with the 8th AF. Following WWII the aircraft served with the RSwAF as well as the Dominican AF. In 1984 the aircraft was back in the US and begain restoration to WWII configuration in 1987, first flying again in the 1990's in 4th FG markings. After being sold to Sal, the aircraft was repainted to its current markings as a 355th FS, 354th FG, 9th AF Mustang, flown by Capt. Lowell K. Brueland. Seen at airshows along the west coast, the aircraft is always a croud favorite.
