This is a repaint only for the WWII Fighters P-51D. This aircraft, owned by Christopher Goldsbury, started out service life with the Minnesota and Montana ANG units. In 1962 it went to Guatamala and served as FAG 354. In 1972 it was brought back to the US and passed through a couple owners before being purchased by Richard Hanson in 1996. It was then that the aircraft began restoration with Ezell Aviation, to become a reincarnation of the wartime "Miss Marilyn II", flown by Lt. Robert E. Welch of the 55th FG, 343rd FS. After the completion of the restoration, "Miss Marilyn II" became one of the most accurate and authentic examples of its type. In 2003 Marck Rueckland purchased the airplane and flew it regularly until 2004 when it was purchased by current owner Crhistopher Goldsbury. The aircraft is currently located in San Antonio, Texas, and could be seen flying at the recent Gathering of Mustangs and Legends air show.
