P-51D 44-74444 'Warhorse' was flown in this scheme in the late '80s and early '90's by Dan Joyce and his partners. The hand in the noseart is a symbol for the practice of American Indians to mark their mustangs with warpaint. Following a crash landing in 1994, the aircraft was sold and is at present in storage in California.
